About Me

Growing up in Montreal, I have lived and worked in both English and French.  I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Waterloo, and my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Concordia University in Montreal, with research in neuroscience. My clinical training was completed at the Allen Memorial Institute and the Montreal General Hospital.  I was a Psychologist and Clinical Supervisor at the Centre local de services communautaires (CLSC) Lac St. Louis on the West Island of Montreal, within a multi-disciplinary treatment program for individuals with mental health difficulties. During this time, I also completed a two-year training program in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Jewish General Hospital, and worked in private practice.

After moving to Toronto in 1994, I worked as a Psychologist at St. John's Rehabilitation Hospital and LifeMark Health, where I provided services to individuals who were experiencing significant emotional and physical trauma following severe motor vehicle or workplace accidents.  I also maintained a private practice during this time.

Since 2002, I have been working primarily in private practice conducting psychotherapy with individuals and couples counselling in both English and French, while continuing work in the assessment and treatment of individuals involved in traumatic accidents.

I have also completed the psychoanalytic training program at the Toronto Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis, which involves a minimum of four years of theoretical and clinical training.
